Soft xTURN Slim Hinges

The single-axis XTurn Slim hinges are intended for mass installation into doors of microwave ovens and have a single axis.

• The hinges enable modular assembly and can feature additional functions of soft opening and closing.  

• The kinematics covers a wide range of moments, which means that a lower number of versions can cover a series of doors of various weights.  

• The hinge does not require a dismount block and is firmly mounted. 

• XTurn Slim hinges are identical for the left and the right side of the doors. 

Technical Characteristics of XTurn Slim Hinges

• The hinges are intended for appliance doors with a weight of 4 to 7 kg. 

• The installation of the hinge into the doors is simple.  

• The hinges can also be installed into modern appliances with slim doors, since the minimum required depth for installing the hinges is 17.5 mm. 

• The required cut-out sections on doors and front wall of the appliance are minimal.  

• Parts exposed to friction are lubricated with a lubricant resistant to temperatures up to 140 °C.

   

Quality

• Materials for hinges are determined based on overloading simulation methods. The components are coated with galvanic protective covers that are in accordance with all requirements and ROHS European directives.  

• Quality is assured with a service life test, which exceeds 100,000 cycles of opening and closing of the doors.  

• The hinges are tested in accordance with the standard that regulates the overburdening and the allowed permanent sagging of appliance doors. 

• The production process is monitored with statistical process control (SPC) and the failure mode and effects analysis technique (FMEA) and is also fully computer aided. This makes it possible to achieve extremely high quality products.
