Classic hinges for cooking appliances

Classic hinges for cooking appliances are intended for mass installation into cookers and built-in ovens. Because they have no sharp edges, they are extremely comfortable to use and simple to clean. They are made from materials that can be recycled.

The hinges are patent-protected and reliable and are thus built into appliances by renowned white goods manufacturers.

Single Axis Hinges

Single axis hinges with a fixed horizontal pivot are intended for installation into the doors of built-in ovens and free-standing appliances.

• Ensure complete balancing of the doors from an angle of 25° to 88° and the position of ajar doors at an angle of 25° (“grill” position). 

• Enable the user to easily remove and mount the doors of the appliance.  

• The operation of the hinge in the appliance is quiet and above all safe, without shearing zones.  

• Single axis hinges are identical for the left and the right side of the doors.

Two-point rotation Hinges

Two-point rotation hinges with a movable horizontal pivot ensure optimal positioning of doors onto the gasket along the entire edge of the appliance. They are intended for installation into ovens and free-standing appliances.

• They are suitable for curbed door types and flat doors with relief shapes, since they have a horizontal and vertical door clearance of 33 mm.  

• They ensure complete balancing of the doors from an angle of 25° to 88° and the position of ajar doors at an angle of 25° (“grill” position). 

• They enable the user to easily remove and mount the doors of the appliance.  

• Two-point rotation hinges are identical for the left and the right side of the doors.

Technical Characteristics of Hinges

• They are intended for appliance doors with a weight of 4 to 12 kg with simple adjustment of springs.  

• The installation of the hinge into the doors is simple (a M5 screw on top, a self-tapping screw below). The installation can also be adjusted so that hinges are not visible to the user. 

• The hinges can also be installed into modern appliances with slim doors.  

• Parts exposed to friction are lubricated with a lubricant resistant to temperatures up to 140 °C, which is in line with requirements for appliances exposed to higher temperature loads (pyrolysis).

Quality

• The hinges are in accordance with ROHS requirements.  

• Quality is assured with the service life test, which exceeds 20,000 cycles of opening and closing of the doors. 

• The hinges are tested in accordance with the EN-30-1-1: 1998 standard, which regulates the overload and the allowed permanent sagging of appliance doors. 

• The production process is monitored with statistical process control (SPC) and the failure mode and effects analysis technique (FMEA) and is also fully computer aided. This makes it possible to achieve extremely high quality products.
